i'd choose to be... ... on a road trip to see li shan buying her birthday present! ... ... filling up water balloons ... ... grilling fish on banana leaf (ikan BAKAR, wei!) throwing a water balloon at li shan and li qin.. or rather, grabbing the water hose and spraying them, why waste time with the water balloons? Form3Cengal reunion all over again. good times. ...seeing anny the hamster (winter gold until fully gained naming rights; ie permission from youngerbrother p/s happy birthday marnkeon whoohoo) named in honour of MEEEEEEE -- an apparently stoning [THIS IS THE ONLY REASON WHY IT'S NAMED AFTER ME, OKAY!], fat and white hamster, ...in li shan's words. @.@ although the other two characteristics do bear resemblence as well. hidden meaning pfft. ...laughing at [thejoy] younger kids [bring], while envying them at the same time for possessing such youth, vibrance and could-care-less attitude... (other than aiming a perfect water balloon hit, of course) superlong talks again, random no reason laughter... and i'm pretty sure, POSING FOR THE CAMERA!whooohooo  let's go CAMPING! whoooooop! i suppose that was our tent. props, yo! last lap. 4.53 am: stonerism maximum. long way more. Zz 9.27 am: irritation sky high. AARGHHHH. how frustrating is groupwork if no one can just DO THE THING we discussed. ESP when i'm doing the last question i have to relate it to all else, HOW AM I GOING TO FINISH MY PART? UGH. now i don't even know how else to write, that's worse than not being able to write. 11.40 am: the only buzz i hear is the drilling next door. 12.20 pm: dictionary.com is my best friend. but how come they don't have another word for COOL? 1.00 pm: lunch break. lotsa wontan's in soap. slurp. how come it's only the girls doing the assg! ARGHHHhh 2.42 pm: blergh. groupmate's collaborating(thank God for her!), and the other's going to hand it up. *crosses fingers* ...i guess that's the end of the studying semester for me. don't feel much liberated... sigh. just time to clear the heck of a messy room... (: pretty thankful for the groupmates i have this semester! whooop, i remember my anguish the first few weeks before we had to get groupmates. pretty stable lot, mine were, maybe this assg being the slight exception. been blessed with pretty awesome ones thus far, and those not bearable ones? just try to take it into stride, we can't all choose our groupmates in the future now, can we? although generally, it's still intriguing to see how people can be so irresponsible, even when they're already in their third and possibly final year. dot points, copy-paste-article work, no free time cos working. miserable excuses. betcha you wouldn't have those excuses if you were working individually. - to commemorate the wonton soup, here's a mobile pic of the next best soupy thing:  comes in a bowl of four at DragonI, li shan & li qin pressured me into eating this last one, EVEN though i had a super full lunch beforehand. they ate up all the ahemslimyoctopus though heh! then we headed off to KTZ for my last desert --honeydew loh, i think. and then we headed off to the Canaanland bookshop in Centrepoint before running in the rain back to the car (happy happy joy joy). yup, the day i left to come back to Melbourne, 2007 (in which they -lishanliqinjingping decided to send me off, secretly, which thankfully i knew beforehand if not it would really be a secret. i almost went down the escalator to check in before they even found me hahah). and leaving my passport on the scanner (just like my mum did one week before that!), which left to TONS of laughter (i could hear from down there k!) when i went back to grab it. uh. okay, clean room. routine check just in case i oversleep again for my last adpromo tute(can't make the next class --group meeting at the next tute's time), i set my BIG alarm clock as a buffer to my NORMAL phone alarm (hello goodbye's baby it's fact).
rang, or sang.. rather. hahah, and i was up by 8.15. AND typically, i'll go back to sleep. grr. the next time i woke up was at 8.50, to the sound of DRILLING next door. i threw a glance at my clock, to find the time at 8.30, and the second hand twitching spastically between the 50 & 51 second. stupid thing stopped?! anyway, no time to ponder upon such mysteries. rushed out.. into the COLD. NB: three layers not enough. stumbled a few times on the road(something is wrong with my left leg, i think i drag my feet too much --my thongs are proof enough) before raising my feet up higher. reached as fast as my many short(and high) steps would bring me.. pretty in time, i'd say. hahah, nothing major was missed. and my clock seems to be working fine now. DID I SOMEHOW SWITCH IT OFF AND GO BACK TO SLEEP? how weird... maybe it's time for a battery change. - just FOUR more hours to the end of my FIFTH studying semester of 2007. beyond scary. well, this is it for the mooday and hangoverday. hahah, pretty bearable as the weeks go past (12 weeks OMGOSH). could get used to the weekend almoststarting(4 hours of classes left for the week) at 2pm every tueday, unfortunately, that's the last of that. - random mobile pic: last year,  marge simpsons. bedsheets and covers. beauty comes with a painful price. its been a month,   and the scab's JUST came off. li shan must be so proud of the colour. (mobile phone's camera) - i thought i lost this. i was SOOOO sad (sentimental values, see). i couldn't find it when i came back, packed it up along(or so i thought) with DocLove(WHICH IS GONE COS SOMEONE KILLED IT DURING THE HOLS WHEN I WASN'T HERE).  BUT.. found this in a cup a few days ago!! a cup that i have been putting my pens in since the start of the sem!! it's back on my window sill. whoooop!  DocLove hee. all that's left is the stone and the mini heart. there's was a value behind the plasticine and the stone. but two years make me remember too vaguely what it meant. - exam's are on the 4th, 13th, 14th, and 18th. OF JUNE 2007. still ONE MORE assg to go, due the last day of uni. ARGHHHHhhh. - it's REAAAAAALLY good having people reassure you, unknowingly. :) thank you. gives me the strength to move along. big, black and ugly. my eyebags, that is. just finished our iPhone assignment(ONE MORE ASSG TO GO), and here i am, talking about phones. not phones in particular, advertising for phones that is. let me show you how iPhone's current advertisement is for the iPhone(not coming to Australia/Asia market anytime soon - its advertising for the US market) at the end of the day, i think people ignorant about the upcoming iPhone and its features(we trialed it on tim), and even Apple, would not even understand what the hype is about from the ad. iPhone advert although, i think that this is just to create an awareness(and the linking) of Apple to the concept of.. a phone, since Hello is generally how we answer a call. just to stimulate your curiousity since Apple's always been about computers. hopefully they'll come up with more along the way to back this up. just wanted to share 2 of my favourite phone ads, back in Malaysia we ALWAYS see these advertisements before a movie starts. but i think cinema ads are pretty interesting ones, it's not just any random irritating ads you see on tv sometimes. i'm hooked on them, everytime we wait for a movie, i think everyone just sits back and enjoys those two ads heehee. i think one point that really made me(or us -friends who go watch together) remember these was the music. even up to the point where we'd search(step did) to find out the tune. one thing both has in common: that emotional connection it makes us feel with the phones, using the phones. that warm feeling, and that we can relate to things they do. music has A lot of weight in this. both in the ad, and in life. and they play on that fact. nokia advert (it's in thai, can't find the english one! the song's Digital Love by Daft Punk) sony ericcson advert (song's Jump On Foot by Holiday For Strings, purely instrumental) Sunday, May 13, 2007

ringtone it's a toss up. actually, once i decided on 'baby it's fact', the next few songs on my player made me want to change my mind. hellogoodbye's 'baby it's fact' with some summer&seth clips since the live performances are hard to hear this song gives me the feeling. when life rushes past us; like how everyone tries to cross the road as fast as possible. everyone running along trying to keep up with the times. including you. but the moment you hear the song, everything just slows down. gives you the time to just take things slow and get your grip on life before it flies on again. it has that calming effect. a song to wake up to? :) we'll see even if it doesn't fulfill the at least 7 second beginning no-singing rule. literally. after cellgroup messed around a good few minutes or two. ohhhh, how i missed the feeling of a proper kick. how my leg curved in rightly to kick the rounds of the bag. turning kick, the 360 kick, backthrust. it's been ages, really.
